Who decides what
Hugo Barrio García runs this site and signs every verdict. Recommendations are decided from task results and the published scoring method. Nobody outside the lab sees a page before it is published, and no vendor reviews or approves copy.
What we publish
We publish what worked, what did not, what we could not verify, and what would change our recommendation. Negative recommendations are normal here: a review can say not for you if and mean it. We include products we do not earn from when they matter to the decision.
The commercial firewall
Affiliate relationships are kept in a separate data store. The code that computes scores and recommendations cannot read it; an automated check fails the build if it ever does. Commercial links appear after the verdict, never above it, always with a disclosure next to them, and only for products with a program. A vendor cannot pay for placement, scores or wording. Access to a trial or a demo does not change a score; it changes what we were able to test, and the evidence labels say so.
No fabricated data
We do not invent prices, ratings, quotes, testimonials or user counts. Where a figure is missing, the page says not verified. We do not aggregate third-party review scores.
How we use AI
FieldServiceTested operates under a governance system designed and run by Hugo Barrio García: written test specifications, hands-on execution of every task under test, quality gates, and traceability from each published claim to its recording. Browser-based test runs and first drafts of copy are produced with AI assistance under his supervision inside that system. Every execution record, screenshot and recording is our own. Every published claim is reviewed by him before publication. AI tools never supply product facts from memory: every fact on this site comes from a recorded run, a dated observation or a linked source, and the label on the claim tells you which.
Diagrams and pictograms on this site are drawn as code in our own figure system, under the operator’s direction and with AI assistance. They illustrate tasks and workflows we ran; they are never evidence. Photographs are our own and show our test bench.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to hello@fieldservicetested.com. Corrections are published on the page they affect and in the corrections log, with the date, what changed and whether the verdict changed.
If we ever build software
We do not sell software today. If we ever do, that product will carry its own conflict-of-interest policy, will be labeled as ours wherever it appears, and will never control rankings or scoring criteria.
