What we process and why
- Serving the website and protecting it against abuse. Our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser and request details to deliver pages and to detect attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
- Visit analytics (Google Analytics 4). Loads only after you allow analytics in the cookie banner. Rejecting it does not restrict access to any content or tool. If you have allowed analytics, the link and tool events described below are also sent to Google Analytics as events tied to its
_gaidentifier. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. - Cookieless performance measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Reports page views, referrers, country, browser and device type and page performance. It sets no cookie and reads no storage on your device, which is why we rely on legitimate interest rather than consent; you can object by email. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site fast.
- Aggregate counters. We count how many times a commercial link is used and how many times a tool is started, completed or exported. These counts are stored without any identifier and without your tool entries.
- Email. When you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering correspondence, or the performance of a contract where your message concerns one.
If the version of the site you are viewing has analytics switched off, the Cookie settings dialog says so and the analytics items above do not apply.
The tools on this site run in your browser. What you type into them is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device and is not sent to us unless you export it yourself. No signup, account or email address is needed to use them.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., US, with EU operations) provides hosting, DNS, email routing, the aggregate counters and Web Analytics.
- Google (Google Ireland Limited for EEA users) provides Google Analytics 4, only after your consent, and receives the email you send to our addresses, which is delivered to a Google mailbox.

International transfers
Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States. Both participate in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where a transfer is not covered by it, rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
- Security and traffic records: we do not keep server logs ourselves; Cloudflare keeps the records it needs to run and protect the service under its own retention periods.
- Analytics: event-level data in our Google Analytics property is kept for 14 months; aggregated reports contain no identifier.
- Email: kept while needed to answer you and, for corrections we publish, while the correction stays published; otherwise deleted within 24 months of the last message.
- Your cookie choice: 13 months, after which we ask again. Cookie durations are listed in the cookie policy and are separate from server-side retention.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, where these apply, by writing to hello@fieldservicetested.com. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm it is you. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with Cookie settings in the footer; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Visitors outside the EU
The same choices and the same contact apply wherever you are. We do not sell personal data.
Complaints
You can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) or to the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live. We would rather hear from you first: hello@fieldservicetested.com.
